One must take into account that when we consider abortion, we are discussing the suppression of a human life. This point is no longer contested, even by the great majority of promoters of abortion. The ultimate question, then, is to find out whether there exists a reason that permits putting an innocent person to death.
We might, for example, allege that one has the right to suppress those whose life, in our opinion, would not be worth living. At the beginning of the century, Kari Binding, a German lawyer, used this logic to fabricate the right "legitimizing" the suppression of those "whose life was not worth living"; the sick, the elderly, the handicapped - the list could be made longer, since it was actually from this century.
