HOW TO DOWNLOAD AND SAVE DOCUMENTS FROM THE INTERNET Create a folder in your hard disk named "DADITAMA Feb2004". This is where you should save all the files you will download from here. NB: The best time for downloading is when not too many users are logged on in your area. Ask people who know. To begin downloading, just click the title line. Your browser should trigger the appropriate program that will run the file. Wait a few seconds or minutes until downloading is DONE. The slide presentations begin with a blank page (black). To begin the presentation, just click anywhere. If it is a web page, just FILE-SAVE. If it is a .doc or .ppt file, your computer might inquire if you wish to RUN or SAVE the file. SAVE to the DADITAMA folder you created. You can then open the document later. NB: Downloading may take time, depending on file size. Image-laden PowerPoint presentations tend to be large, followed by MS Word documents. IF YOU STILL CANNOT DOWNLOAD SUCCESSFULLY: (1) Right-click the document link. (2) Save Target As ... (3) Assign a name and SAVE into the DADITAMA folder. After downloading and saving all the files you wish, you may copy/burn/write the entire DADITAMA folder into a CD-ROM. Alternatively, you may save the files into several floppy disks (you will need at least 3 diskettes for this). Make sure you keep the passwords in a separate location, not on the same disks into which you have saved secure files.
